Grants and Poster Awards

One of the goals of the SSA/SGA is to actively promote research in the field of Aerobiology. Therefore, the Society is pleased to announce the introduction of a regular award of CHF 1000.

This will be awarded as either

• a grant for a young researcher to cover the costs of participating in a conference, course, or other scientific event focusing on aerobiology,
• or as a poster prize  awarded during for example the Annual Congress of the Swiss Society of Allergology and Immunology (SGAI). The award recognizes outstanding poster contributions in the field of Aerobiology.

SGA/SSA young researchers grant for 2026

The SGA/SSA offers one grant of up to 1000 CHF for a young researcher (up to 3 years after finishing their PhD) who is studying or working at a Swiss institution or university. The grant is intended to cover the costs of participating in a conference, course or other scientific event focusing on aerobiology in 2026.

Interested applicants are welcome to submit a grant application form (see below) with the complementary documents:

1. Motivation letter (not exceeding one page)
2. Short CV (not exceeding one page)
3. When applying to participate in a conference, please provide an abstract of your planned presentation or poster, or at least a description of the topic you intend to present.

Application procedure: all the documents must be sent by the 30th of April 2026 to the SGA/SSA secretariat office@aerobiologie.ch, using the email Subject: SGA/SSA 2026 Grant Application “last name” (i.e. SGA/SSA 2026 Grant Application Müller).
